LexisNexis is planning an exclusive one-day conference for journalists, analysts, and bloggers on Wednesday to meet the executive team of LexisNexis Research & Litigation Solutions (RLS), who will discuss the legal software and information provider's business strategy and product plans for 2013 in a prelude to their announcements at LegalTech New York, which occurs from January 29 to 31 at the Hilton New York.
The LexisNexis docket this Wednesday headlines an executive team from RLS, which includes opening remarks by RLS CEO Bob Romeo, who together with technology, strategy, and business leaders will present the LexisNexis legal technology road map, talk about major initiatives, and explain how the business is responding to trends in the legal and technology industries. Matt Gillis, vice president of Litigation Solutions, will discuss how to solve big data challenges. Marty Kilmer, vice president of Product Platforms, will also describe the continued transformation of Lexis Advance and Steve Errick, vice president and managing director of Research Information, together with Liz Mason, vice president Legal News, and Susan Slisz, vice president Print and Digital Solutions, will discuss LexisNexis content coverage from news to legal analysis.
Also on the LexisNexis agenda are detailed sneak peeks of the next releases of Lexis for Microsoft Office, Lexis Advance version 3.5, a new product for medical litigators, MedMal Navigator, and new modules on Lexis Practice Advisor. Lexis Advance and MedMal Navigator will be released at LegalTech; new modules on Lexis Practice Advisor will not be released until later this spring. Also later this spring, Lexis for Microsoft Office will exhibit integration features with Lexis Advance.
With LegalTech New York right around the corner, I am working on my calendar and trying to work in as many people as I can to see at the show. See my Google public calendar and let me know if there is a mutually convenient time to meet with you and your team. Note that if I miss you at the show, I am staying in New York for the entire week — I can be available on Monday, January 28, as well as Friday, February 1, from our New York offices.
