Thomson Reuters, a legal content, software, and service provider, on Monday introduced Practitioner Insights, a WestlawNext resource with practice-specific content and analysis as well as information on emerging legal developments.
Practitioner Insights are practitioner-focused pages on WestlawNext, an online legal resource, that bring legal professionals current awareness information and analysis to help them stay current in their areas of practice. Each practice page is maintained by a dedicated team of attorney editors who monitor their respective practice areas and broach business news and analysis from industry experts and compile relevant litigation materials and primary legal content from WestlawNext.
Source material for Practitioner Insights includes:
• Westlaw Daily Briefings from Westlaw attorney editors.• Wolters Kluwer Law & Business Daily news summaries, which include materials on antitrust, employment, health, and intellectual property.
• CQ Roll Call Washington Briefings with coverage of securities and banking and energy policy developments from Congress and federal regulatory agencies.
• Legal news from Reuters.
Thomson Reuters also is introducing Alerts on WestlawNext. The new Alerts platform is designed to let customers manage all their notices of breaking news and updated legal information from one central location. The Alerts service brings together monitoring from Westlaw's news-clipping tools as well as notices of new search results for citations, court filings, and dockets.
The new Alerts function gives customers more options in the frequency of reporting and delivery mechanisms that include email and RSS feeds. An Alert History feature allows WestlawNext customers to view results as far back as 90 days and is designed to let users compile and customize newsletters for colleagues and customers.
