Is there a place in a sartorial closet for a black wool blazer, sports coat? I know the forum frowns on the black suits, but how about black sports jacket?

Where would one wear such coat? What color trousers / shirt would look good with black jacket?

I have a beautiful black Zegna sport jacket that I (and my wife, who found it for me at NM) love. I'm wearing it at work today with gray pants, and it looks just as good with medium olive. It's not a replacement for navy, and I also love my wonderful, classic Burberry blazer (circa 1985, still in excellent condition and a perfect fit).

Then again, what do I know? I also wear a black suit when the mood strikes me, and I enjoy every minute of it. ? chacun son go?t
